My stepson and wife will be landing very soon. I'll be with them. We'll fly from the capital of her state to Mexico City with Interjet, and then from Mexico City to Vancouver with Air Canada to land. I read this on aircanada.com:
Effective January 24, 2014, the following persons will be required to complete an exit authorization form in order to travel outside Mexico:
•Mexican citizens under the age of 18 travelling alone or with someone other than their parent(s)
Also, from the Mexican immigration site, it says this:
Minors under the age of 18 travelling with at least one of their parents or guardians DO NOT require authorization or a letter of consent.
That would seem to indicate that only my wife needs to give permission. Air Canada says we need permission from the father via a letter stamped by a notary public.
Since we already got authorization from my stepson's father via the IMM5604 form, and the visas are in their hands, won't airport officials realize the other parent's authorization was given since the visa is in my stepson's passport? Help.
