I only have this information: If your documents are in a language other than english, check with the responsible visa office for your region to determine wether they need to be translated. I already emailed them, but I haven't gotten any response.
I am submitting an online application for my temporary resident visa, and I need to prove the relationship I have with my host in Canada (a family member), so I need to submit my and her birth certificates, does anyone know if it is a requirement for the Mexico's visa office to have this supporting documents translated?

Yes. Any certificate must be translated.

Anyway that's odd. I have not heard of any fellow Mexicans submitting birth certificates. It is usually with the passports and an invitation letter how the relationship is verified by CIC. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that is not a good way to prove family relationship or to make a strong argument, but well I had to say it.
