Hello guys,

I've been filling the forms out and there is in 3908E form that says:
You must submit original police certificates of good conduct or clearances from each country in
which you and each of your family members aged 18 years or over have resided six continuous
months or more since reaching18 years of age.
???

Anyways, I lived in the STATES for 1.7 years and I don't know how to get my POLICE CERTIFICATE from USA. Also I lived 1.4 years in Canada, totally legally in both countries.
Hey guys, if you have need to get it, how did you get it? Please I need that info so much...
I'm just starting and I'm kind of lost :(

Muchas Gracias saludos!!

You don't need a police certificate for Canada.

For the US, just follow the instructions on the CIC site (the instructions are the same for everyone):

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

Again Thanks guys,

But again I'm confuse... the same forms apply for foreign people, I mean you guys seem to be from the states and I'm from and living in Mexico it is the same thing???

and the fingerprint card is just the form fd-258 printed with regular paper? seriously this sucks!!

Having a hard time believing how long it may take!

:(

Calm down, it might be long but it will be worth it to be with our loved ones don't you think?, this is may be a long and complicated (not only the fingerprints, but the Canadian sponsorship in general). But you are doing it for your loved ones, so it is worth it ;)

I am Mexican as well, yes, the forms are the same if you are an US citizen or not, fill in as much information as you can (for example at one point it asks for your SSN, fill it in only if you have one).

About the FD-258: I have read about people that just print it on a plain sheet of paper and get their fingerprints taken on it. I didnt wanted to risk it, so I hired a specialized technician whom provided the cards (they were in some sort of cardboard-ish paper (semi-thick) and she took my fingerprints.

If you search on amazon/ebay for them, you'll find people that sell them. So you can either go for the paper only, print them in some sort of carton-ish material, or order one from ebay/amazon

BTW: Got mine back from the FBI in like 4 weeks
Good luck :D

I'm from Mexico City, but I reside in the US under a work visa. The technician I hired was here in the US. I searched "fingerprint services" and was able to find some of them, not sure if there are in mexico though, so search online, seccion amarilla, or whatever you can think of.

I just submitted my PR app some days ago (not even I have recieved my AOR), however I've dealt with CIC for other types of visas (student and tourist types) ;)

Good luck Angielou!
