Hi,

My wife's has pending petition for Green Card (through marriage to US Citizen) and is expecting interview at US Consulate at home country in 6 months , she planing to visit Canada to Visit her Aunt for 3 months. To prove strong ties back to home country can she tell in the personal letter to the VISA officer or invitation letter that she will go back to home country (India) because her green card interview is expected. Is this considered strong ties to home country? Is it worth mentioning this at all. She is not currently working and does not have home in her name.

Thanks

It's a nice touch but I doubt officer will take up on that, also - planning to go to different country for PR shows anything but strong ties, just show the regular docs which prove strong ties such as job/assets/bank $$ bit if spouse is in US, so it shows that she might not be someone who will stay in home country
Once she gets green card, she can travel here visa free anyway
But single app with no job, no home, any travel history? is less likely to get a visa
