As part of the English language requirement I have send the initial assessment placement report of YMCA . The below link which I went through today states a placement test done by a LINC/CLIC assessment center is not accepted as evidence for Citizenship.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=594&top=5

Could someone who has got AOR sending the placement test results confirm whether its accepted . This will also help many applicants who are in the stage of finalising applications.

FWIW, the guide indicates that they want the the certificate that you get at the end of the course, and given the link that you quoted, it is almost certain that a placement test will not be accepted.

I haven't come across anyone that submitted a placement report, until now, on this forum.

Quoting the guide,

We will accept the following test results:

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada or Cours de Langue pour Immigrants au Canada (LINC or CLIC):

  • If you completed the LINC or CLIC course at CLB 4/NCLC 4 or higher from January 1st 2008 to October 31st, 2012:
    • Send a copy of the certificate with your application. If you do not have a copy of your certificate, check the box in question 15a and we will validate that you completed the course in our system.
  • If you completed the LINC or CLIC course on or after November 1st, 2012:
    • Submit a copy of the certificate you were given when you completed the course.

Thanks Razor.
I have submitted this YMCA CLB placement test results.
But on advise of a family friend also kept my Canadian Diploma and transcripts. So I might get thru.
But in wife case along with the CLB placement test results I submitted a IELTS expired result which was not earlier used for immigration. Now this is the minus point .
Do you know any forum member who has got AOR with an IELTS result not submitted to immigration earlier ?
Regards,
KRP

Hmm, no haven't come across such a case. Was it academic or general IELTS ? I'm actually not sure if the officers at CPC-Sydney check to make sure if the submitted IELTS was previously used for immigration or not. Your wife may get lucky and still get AOR. Does she have an alternative like a degree or diploma from a course done in English or French ?

The unfortunate part will be if you submitted both yours and your wife's application in one package, and if they do not accept your wife's language proof, then both your applications will be returned even if yours is found complete. Hopefully they accept it. Only general IELTS results are accepted, academic IELTS will result in a returned application for sure.

The family application is send across in one package along with 2 minor kids applications. IELTS General is send . Well she is practising here in medical field. We can provide many more for language proof. My concern is application getting returned and getting back in the queue.
