Hi,

My spouse got approved for open work permit when in USA. She then moved to India and got her passport stamped there.
She didn't had to submit medicals as her work permit approval was done in USA. Due to Canadian consulate closure in India, her passport was stamped with covid exception after 8 months of approval.
So should she be doing her medicals before traveling to Canada? I called Canada immigration and they said medicals are only required before visa approval.
She has even got authorization letter and they didn't mentioned anything in that too.

Please advise.

Not required since her application is already approved
Thank you for the response.
Her company is saying that since she has stayed more than 6 months in India, a medical in necessary now. Is that a condition that if anyone stays in India for more than 6 months, then medicals are required? I haven't seen this anywhere, that is why was asking it.

That’s little weird, it’s not the job of her company to ask her for medical but that of cic unless some kind of medical exam is required for her job. If cic is not requesting for an exam then it’s not required

Yes, that is what I am also confused about. I have written to CIC. I guess if they confirm it over mail, then atleast we will have a proof.

Also, I called cic helpline and they mentioned its not needed as visa is approved.
