Medicals for my son

Hi to everyone,I recently received a letter for CIC about my son medical to be done but his mother is refusing to do so.

This is what i got from CIC.

Dear John Doe:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada, presently being processed by the
Immigration Section at the High Commission of Canada.

Following an examination of your file, you are required to provide the following documents:

1) A signed statement from your son mother, confirming that she will not allow him to
complete a medical examination. Please also submit a copy of her signature I.D. (passport,
I.D. card etc)
2) Please sign the attached declaration to remove your son from your application if he does not
comply with immigration requirements. Please note that if you sign this document, you will
no longer be able to sponsor him at any time in the future and this could result in your
permanent separation.

3) Copy of your son birth certificate.

She is not willing to provide me with any of those request to further process my application.
Can someone who is experienced enlighten me on what can be done.

How have you been communicating with your son's mother? Do you have any emails you can provide where she is refusing to take your son to have the medical done?

Hi Scylla,thanks for replying,unfortunately there were no communication between her and myself other when I send money to her for my son through western union.Can I just sign the declaration form that was provided and be done with it?

So you haven't even asked her about the medical? You need to ask her. I would recommend you do it by email if you can so that if she refuses, you have some kind of proof you can send to CIC.

No - you can't just sign the declaration form and be done with it. This is your child's future we're talking about. CIC takes these matters very seriously and so should you.

I did ask her by way via telephone and she refused to comply,she is claiming her son is a born American and don't need to be a Canadian citizen,.,.Yes I will love to have him added as my dependent but there is nothing in my power that I can do to get her to comply,.,.,I live in the Caribbean and she is in the United States.
