Do we need to submit out medicals with our application right away after receiving ITA or will CIC send an medical exam request later on. I know that we can do the medical upfront but I'm just wondering if its a mandatory part of the initial application.

It is a mandatory requirement - you can't submit your post ITA application without medicals. Book an appointment immediately after getting an ITA and insist on eMedical.

Normally, that shouldn't have any bearing on your medicals. If you are on some heavy duty medication though it is advisable to delay your Medicals.

Hi Asivad,

I am here again with medical question .. In general what all test they will do for medicals ? Do they share the report with us first ? or they will send directly to CIC ? . I have minor primary complex when I was born , but no medications at all . I am now 32 , no issues nothing .Just now came to know infact that I had primary complex (I donot know what it is also .. think kind of cold or cough ).. Will it affect my PR process?

Hi,
There are 3 parts to the Medical. Physical examination comprising of a body and Eye check. A Blood sample to check for HIV and STD deceases. A Urine sample to check for STD.
please mention all surgeries and pre existing medical condition and any prescription medication you are taking to the panel doctor. The Doctor will not share the medical report with you but will inform you if anything serious turns up from your reports.
Discuss your condition with the doctor and gauge his reaction. Ideally it should not affect the PR process.
