Last week I came to know, while checking my credit card transactions that `IMMIGRATION CANADA FSW SYDNEY ` had withdraw the permanent residency file processing fee. Now I am expecting to get medical examination instruction from the Canadian Embassy with in a week or so. I would like to get your assistance in that.
I would like to know how I can find the doctors list which are authorized to do immigration medicals like of my case. What should be the process after receiving an formal instruction from Canadian Embassy for my medical examination.

Some of my friends were wondering that I also have to give finger prints. I am confused why I need to give finger prints. I am not scared to give. I am curious to whom I should give and where should I give and how will authorities (Finger print authorities) associate my finger prints with my file number so that Embassy can relate it with me. Shall I send the finger print report to Embassy or Embassy will inform me after submission of my medical that you need to provide finger print report also.

I will really appreciate you assistance in this matter, I am really in a situation like a fish out of water until I successfully go through this Permanent Residency process.

Thank you

Right hand column of the main CIC page is a link "Get Medical Exams" that will lead you through the steps.

The main DMP selection page is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx

Once you have the IMM 1017, you make an appointment with the designated medical practitioner (DMP) and you take the form, the requisite number of pictures (the Doctor's office can tell you) and the fee due the doctor to your appointment. The doctor will complete the examination and send the findings to the regional medical centre.

Fingerprints are usually required to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate (follow the link above "Get Medical Exams" that says "Get Police Certificates").

Generally, if you did not already submit a PCC or if it has expired, they would request a new clearance certificate at the same time as medicals are requested. Many police authorities require fingerprints.

Good luck!

Thank you for the reply. I really appreciate it.

Yesterday I got an email from Centralized Intake office. The email contains an acknowledgement regarding the withdrawal of the Permanent residency process fee. The the authorities said that we will forward the file to the visa office for further processing.

In the email its clearly stated that, for any future correspondence email is the appropriate way.

The problem is that they authorities spelled my name wrong in the email. Rest on all the document its fine. my work permit, my visa, my extended work permit all other documents provided by Canadian Embassy has the correct name except this email.

I am curious because I tried to send email to the sender regarding the miss-spelled name , but i got email failure. Now i am in tension , as it can lead to some odd situation in future. How call I contact to Centralized intake office. I already tied this email also " CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca "

Please help me and take me out of this situation....still waiting for medical
