Medical Validity on COPR

Hi All

In my CAIPS the date for medical stage validity is Sep-26-2008 (because i submitted my medicals on Sep-10-2007)
but medical and visa validity date printed on COPR we received is Aug-11-2009.

Does that mean I can land anytime in the next 11 months...??

Did anyone else get a an extension like this..?

I had heard that they only gave you a year from the date of the medical but I am pretty sure when I did my PR years ago that I got a year to land from the time my visa was issued.
