Hi: Can anyone tell me what usually comprises a medical test, I mean what tests they usually ask you to undergo. Do they assign any specific center/physicians to whom you are required to undergo these tests. Plus how much time will it take to hear from them after submiting your tests. Thanks In Advance.

You need to go to a doctor who has been approved by CIC. Here is a link to the website that lists the approved doctors:

You get a chest x-ray, blood tests - including a test for HIV - and a quick exam by the doctor.

Also, don't expect to hear anything about the tests unless there is something you need treatment for. That's what I was told.

I sent in my fingerprints to the FBI in April and just got my letter June 19. I was informed through this forum not to send it in to the embassy until they request it. My applicatiobn began processing in Buffalo May 24th so I am waitng their request. Has anyone sent in their FBI letter after their application was started. Did YOU wait for a request from them first? Thank you.
