Hello,
Hope everyone is doing well.
When my wife entered Canada in April this year, she received an IMM1442SP form indicating a medical surveillance undertaking. At the time, the immigration officer mentioned that we would receive further instructions via email.
Last week, we received an email advising us to contact the Peel Region Health Authority. Upon speaking with them, we were informed that we need to print the email and visit a family doctor or walk-in clinic. The doctor would then determine whether additional tests, such as an X-ray or blood tests, are required.
We are a bit concerned, as during her immigration medical exam in India, she underwent multiple X-rays and other tests as required by IRCC. She has a history of TB but was completely cured, and we were assured that there was no active TB at the time.
We have a few questions:
Thank you for your assistance.

We have a few questions:
- Is this follow-up process routine for someone with a history of TB?
- Could this impact her immigration process in any way?
- Will we need to provide medical records or evidence of her previous treatment? Unfortunately, we did not bring these documents with us.
- Any other advice or things to keep in mind during this procedure?
Thank you for your assistance.
