Upon receiving my admission in to the university I promptly applied for my Visa on the 12th of April on the CIC Website .Shortly after, I received a request for my Medical information and proceeded to get my medicals done.
In my X-ray taken it showed what was suspected to be signs of active infiltration Tuberculosis (TB). I was asked to conduct a Sputum test as well as a Bronchoscopic Lavage from which cultures were incubated for 8 weeks.
After 8 weeks the cultures for both the sputum as well as the bronchoscopic washings were found NEGATIVE for TB.
I have also taken a repeat x-ray which shows improvement from my first one taken.
Since my initial medical tests, I have been taking TB medication for the last two months.
I have been and continue to be asymptomatic and capable of continuing my daily routine, including running and working out. The chest specialist here has also assured me that I am at no risk of spreading any illness to those around me.
However he has asked me to continue 4 months of medication.
I have been informed by the approved medical center that I will have to take an x-ray on the 20th of July (completion of 3 months of treatment) and the medical information will only then be submitted to the embassy.
My program begins on the 29th of August 2016 and I was hoping to fly in by the 15th of August and I would be highly obliged if you could provide me with an estimate of my chances for my visa getting approved, which will enable me to work out my other plans including housing, flight tickets and other immigration activities, considering the short time span.
Does anyone know if I might still have a chance of getting my Visa approved in time? I would appreciate any information I can get.
