medical sent- interview waived can I go to my home country

I have sent my medicals and my interview is waived. My visa office is Buffalo,NY. What happens if I go back to my home country and stay there?

Can I just notify them of change of address or do I need to change my visa office? Would going back to my home country Nepal change status of my application in any way at this stage?

I would suggest you stay in the same location if possible because :
1. In case of remedicals your presence would be required in USA and have to go to same DMP.
2. You have to deposit your passport with the visa office in the coming months.
3. It is quite difficult to send the passports by mail from Nepal to USA and the visa office would not send the passports back to Nepal, they would ask local address.

First off all I want to congratulate you for this great progress in your immigration application. From my experience I have a friend of mine who traveled in such stage and that caused a delay in his visa issuing.
So I recommend you to be patient till you get your visa then do what you want. By the way it may be around 2-3 months.

Thank you all for response. Actually I need to go to my Home country for family emergency for 3 weeks. I will need to apply for visa again to come back to US. I am currently in H1b. In case if I get stuck in my country , I hope it will not be a great issue. Anybody has similar experience?
