Hi Friends,

I have a few questions regarding medicals.

1) Do we need to send the medical reports directly to CIC or the medical practitioners do that ?
2) Does getting medical request mean that PR is approved ?
3) Are the medical tests chargeable or the Health card takes care of them ?
4) If I get my medical tests done now and are submitted by end of year, will this be an issue because as per CIC the reports are valid for 12 months.

Thanks.

Applicant has nothing to do with forwarding medical reports to CIC. It is the responsibility of the DMP. He or she will submit them on your behalf.
No! Going through a medical exam does not guarantee your approval. You still may disqualify if you fail your medical, or subsequent criminal check.
No! You will have to pay for your medical. Provincial health care does not cover the charges
You should do your medical only if you are instructed to do so.
