Hi everyone. I have a question to senior members of this forum. Just today I checked my ECAS status update and when I checked it says "In process" and then when I click on the tab it says "Medical results received:.

What should I expect next? How come it didn't say a decision has been made. Can I assume that PPR is on the way??]

Couple days, max 3-4 days, you should get your PPR, Good Luck buddy.

Are you sure your status in In Process and NOT Decision Made? Cause the sentence "medical results have been received" should be seen under Decision Made. See below:

DECISION MADE
(A decision has been made at this point.)
Medical Results Received by CIC
We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.

Approval Status Determined
Your application will be either approved or rejected. We will inform you of the decision in writing.

Permanent Residence Status Determined
If your application is approved, we will send you your permanent resident documentation and a letter saying what we need to finalize your permanent residence.

My friend's status is also in process and she got confirmation that medicals have been received but it does not show on Ecas.

Congratulations madam. You should expect to hear from CHC in a couple of days for your PPR.

i have given my medicals and DMP has not sent it till now its been 4 days ..i got my passport and PRPF request with medicals ... how would i know that medicals went fine and when can i be sure that i will get visa ??

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Dear wpc71, I checked my ECAS again and it says medicals have been received. It doesn't say it under decision made though.

It just says" medicals have been received " and the line before that it says " we started processing your file on February 5th, 2010"

So, there is nothing written such as " decision made".

So, is this normal?

She had already gotten PPR along with her medicals request.

Everything is normal if it's coming from the Tokyo Office!
I used to think that the visa officers input a code into the system and your status changes automatically according to that. But I see that it is actually the visa officer who types whatever s/he wants while updating your file! Maybe because you had recently asked about your medical results, they wanted to confirm it there too!
