Hi everyone. I applied for PR after BC PNP nomination. Got the confirmation email in May, processing was started in August. Then, got email in October that it is being processed and I should hear from their office within 6 months.

On 16th December, got email from Delhi High Commission to have the medicals done and on 18th December got email to pay Right of PR fees and also to submit copies of passports. We did that and now on 16th December the status on CIC website shows "Medical results have been received".

Can anyone please let me know what to expect now and how soon? Need to reach Canada ASAP as my employer wants me there at the earliest.

Hello,

After getting the medical examination done and having paid the Right for Permanent Residence Fee, you will be asked to send passport(s) for the Visa(s) to be issued.

Thanks Jats. My husband's and my passports are already with them, since we had applied for work permit in April 2016. The processing of that application was very delayed and was also put on hold by PNP for a couple of months. After the hold was removed in September, instead of getting the Work Permit and TRV, our PR application reached Delhi Visa office stage from Canada (which we had sent in March and got file number and in May). Then we were asked to have the medicals done, send copies of our passports and pay the Right of PR fees (mid of Dec., 2016). We had all this done and submitted the documents by 10th of January along with covering letter saying that our passports are already with them (I did mention the application number etc.). Now our children's passports have not yet been submitted which I think they will ask for.

Could you please advise on the following:
1. When should I expect PR visas to be issued to me and my husband? (Since our passports are already with them)
2. Will they ask for our children's passports before issuing visas to me and my husband?
3. My passport expires in June, 2017. So will my PR visa be valid till that time only?
4. If so, then will the PR visas to be issued to my husband and our children also be valid till that time only?
5. Can I and should I have my passport renewed before leaving for Canada? (The PR visa will be stamped/pasted on the old passport that expires in June, 2017). Will there be any problem going to Canada with this renewed passport and visa on the previous passport? Old passport number is mentioned on all documents of the PR application etc.
6. There is a change in the address since I was issued this passport. Now I live in another state in India, so the passport has to be issued/renewed by another office. Will there be any problem in that if instead of renewing my passport before going, I apply for renewal in Canada later?

Thanks

Hello,

I strongly suggest you to write an email to New Delhi Visa Office explaining them the entire situation as is, and ask for an advice on your application. Their email address is delhiimmigration@international.gc.ca

For your information:-

1. PNP applicants who were asked to submit their medicals & RPRF in December 2016 have started receiving Passport Requests (close to getting the visa).
2. The visa is not issued beyond the expiry date in the passport.
3. The visa office always suggest applicants to share any change in their personal credentials (example:- address).

It will be best to seek the visa office's able guidance at the earliest.
Meanwhile, you can check the status of your application by visiting the link https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en&_ga=1.127545861.903405877.1487244673

Steps = Agree to the Terms & Conditions >> Select the Identification Type (from the drop down, App # OR the UCI) >> enter personal details i.e. Family Name + Date Of Birth + Place Of Birth >> hit 'Continue' >> Current Application Status (in hyperlink) >> hit the hyperlink to know the detailed status.

All the best!
