Medical Requirement for Tourist Non Working Visa

Hi, question please.

I applied for a tourist visa for myself and my parents (Dad, 53 and Mom, 68). Tourist Visa requested for 1 month stay, and won't be working whilst in Canada.

Can anyone enlighten me why medical is being required? Anyone experienced the same?

I have checked this previously and our application doesn't fall for the criteria requiring medical.

Application submitted:
- tourist (family visit)
- less than 6 months (1 month)
- will not work whilst in Canada

Did you apply online? If so, did you answer "yes" to the question if you've done a medical with a panel physician in the last 12 months?
Or was the medical requested after you already sent the application forms?

I applied online and selected "no" on the medical panel physician.

Yes the request came in after we submitted the forms.

Then perhaps it's because of your parents' ages + 1 month stay, no choice but to comply with the request.
