Dear Fellows,

I hope all of you are doing well. I need your help, especially from senior members. Here is my situation:

I applied under FSW about three years ago in Buffalo VO, USA. My application was pending for long time and meanwhile the Buffalo VO got closed.

In early 2012 I had a newborn son with the grace of almighty, at that time I didn't know that Buffalo VO is closed. I tried to reach them but no response at all, finally after many emails I was told that Buffalo VO is closed and I should provide further information to the following dept.

Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa
Ottawa, ON Canada K1A 1L1

I wrote a very detailed letter to this department (via postal mail) and told them about new addition to my family. I requested them to tell me what they need from my end in order to add my son to my pending application, but I never heard anything back from them. Finally, I got fed up and decided to contact this dept. one more time. In response I got that stupid generic email:

"Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time. An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed. We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum"

I got the same answer two times, and then I left it in the hands of Almighty.

HERE IS THE TWIST IN THE STORY

All of the sudden I got medical request last week for me and my wife with no sign of my Son's presence. So, Folks, please guide me what should I do, my son is more than 1 year old now, how should I tackle this situation? Please note that my son is US Citizen now, if it makes a difference.

I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks a lot

There is an other big twist in the story, but I was ask that I another post, because otherwise it will confuse all of you.

i was in the same situation last year, but my attorney contacted CIC and they have send me a medical form for my kid after sending them the documents. I think, best thing is to send them all listed documents of your son with application number and request them to add in your application. My kid is also USA citizen so it doesn't matter. (please double check all listed documents on CIC website)

1. 4 photos of your child (according to attached specifications)
Processing Fee of $150 CAD in the form of a certified cheque or bank draft made payable to "Consulate General of Canada"

2. Copy of Birth Certificate
3. Copy of Passport
4. Updated page 2 ONLY of the Generic application form with your child's information (attached)
5. Updated Additional Family Information form for both you and your spouse (attached)
6. Updated proof of settlement funds in the form of a current bank statement or letter from your bank demonstrating the funds are held in a liquid and transferrable state. For the current settlement funds requirements please refer to the following link: cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

Try to use FEDEX with tracking number. Do your medical now and then wait for CIC confirmation for your kid.

Please let me know if you need any more details.

Thanks a lot for your reply. One quick question, can you tell me the date (not exact) when you faced all this. Just want to make sure that things haven't change much since then.

my kid born last year in September. We notified CIC with the all listed documents in October. We have received my kid MR in first week of March.

Thank you,
Amit

So, it took them 4 months to send the MR for the new born :(

Did you and your wife had medical done before baby's MR. If yes, did your wife had to go for chest x-ray during pregnancy?

Thanks a lot

My attorney suggested me not to go for Medical and wait for your newborn. But, i still completed my medical and my wife medical during pregnancy except X-ray . Actually, It came as good as DMP has notified CIC about her pregnancy rather then my attorney. My attorney still notified CIC about my wife situation by giving them physician and DMP letter. I don't know the exact process but my attorney took care of everything. She has completed her x-ray after pregnancy with my kid medical. i know it is frustrating and seems to be never ending process. I still suggest you to go for medical and send a request to CIC to add your kid and wait for their reply. Also, after completing your Medical, inform CIC that you have completed your medical by sending them a copy of receipts.
