I don't think anybody can answer that question as each file is different. 6 months is an average.
You can order the notes on your file to see where they are, and if your file has been in New Delhi for more than the time indicated on the website ( 6 months from the date of sponsorship approval, not from when you filed your application), then you can send them a case specific enquiry to have an idea of what is going on.
You can also contact your MP in Canada, he can contact the VO and get more information.
