Hello! I applied inland from Quebec. App received in October, AOR late January, and we're waiting for Quebec to send the CSQ at this point.

I've read a lot about medical exams. I've seen people who did them before they even sent their apps in, and those who waited for CIC to request them. I want to do everything I can to avoid any delays (I don't want to risk my app, so I can't visit family and friends in the US again until PR is complete).

My question is: should I go ahead and schedule the medical exam? I do have a UCI now, so I assume they can link the results to my file? I'm concerned that if I wait until CIC makes the request, that it may take me a while to get in to see a doctor. Any advice? Thanks!

You should have done the medical before submitting the application. Do the medical now, send a copy of the medical receipt to Vegreville with your UCI. No medical submitted with a spousal application, usually adds a couple of months to the process.

Blerg. Thanks! There are no doctors anywhere around me, so hopefully I can get an appointment in Montreal, since we're heading down there in a couple of weeks.
