Hi there!

I just had a quick question.
My husband is applying inland and we cannot obtain his police clearance from his home country until we get the letter requesting it from CIC.

However, I'm wondering if while we're waiting, to speed up the whole process a bit, can we get police clearance from Canada and his medical exam done and sent in?

I know there is an expiry date on these papers, so I am wondering when would be a good time to do these? (If I understood the website correctly, these can be sent in anytime?)

Our application was received December 2013. :)

Anyways,

Thanks for any response!

You haven't yet had his medical exam done? You should get that done asap as it should have been included with the original application. He doesn't need to have a Canada PCC done. CIC will take care of this themselves. If they have any questions in regards to him, they could request fingerprints to help separate him from someone with similar information, but you don't need to worry about that unless they ask you specifically for it. Sadly, you will have to wait for the request to get his PCC from his home country. Has he lived anywhere else for more than 6 months since he turned 18 other than Canada or his home country? If yes, then you must obtain police clearances from those countries as well.
