Medical passed, but no biometric invite

I have submitted my PR docs on 16-Jan-2021 and my medical passed on 09-Feb-21, but yet to receive biometric invite. Its been more than a week after medical passed and now its 17-Feb-2021.

As far as I heard from my friends/known people, they got both medical passed and biometric together or in one day interval. does anybody have any idea for this delay? Anyone faced this situation recently?

No. I have not given bio-metrics in last 10 years.. but my wife gave biometrics 2 years before and they matched her bio-metric number for her once my medical got passed (on the same date - 09-Feb-2021)

It’s rare to see BIL not provided after MEP. Try calling IRCC?

Ok thank you... but not sure whether they will respond back with what I actually expect since the time is within the processing timeframe.. let me see

The website says it could take several weeks. Which is rare.

“ If you submit a complete application and pay the biometrics fee at the same time
You’ll get the letter in your account message box within several days or several weeks.
We’ll send you an email to let you know that you have a new message.”

Yes, I have read all those , but for all my friends/known persons, they all got both MEP and BIL on same day/next day.. thats y im wondering what went wrong.. let me check with IRCC

I have also read in this forum (in another thread), some received after 4/5 days (3 business days).. but for me, its 5 business days already.. thought of waiting for remaining of this week and will call IRCC on 22-Feb-2021

Happened to me I passed medical on October 2nd 2020, called them a bunch of times they told me to wait, and I finally received BIL on January 23rd 2021

During that time, bio-metric centers are closed and they started issuing BIL only from Nov'20 I guess.. so they could have issued on seniority base.. few of my friends submitted docs on Mar'20 and got BIL on Nov'20 only..

but some of my friends submitted a week before, 2 weeks before of my submission date, all they got BIL as soon as their medical passed.

I havenot received my biometric invite letter yet.. I reached out IRCC and asked me to wait for some more time.. they also said nothing wrong on my application.. not sure how long i need to wait... this is the only item pending from my end...

any suggestion for alternate options? I have also applied webform on 22-Feb-2021...

There’s nothing you can do but wait. Just your luck, you can check immitracker, there are rare candidates who get BIL after 6 months of AOR. If calls and webforms don’t work and can’t give you answers, there’s no other way to reach IRCC.
