Medical Insurance for spouse open work permit

Good day!

I have a question regarding medical insurance, do i need to avail/apply before i arrive in Canada (British Columbia)? And what company will you suggest? Im just waiting for my passport, approve already for spouse open work permit (my other half is under student permit)

I would suggest to get Destination Canada plan for 3 months they have pretty good coverage for their prices, you can check details and compare plans (maybe you would like some other companies better) here.
