Hi Everyone,
Had some good news and bad news today. Good News: My bridging open work permit was approved, yay!
Bad News:
I received my Gcms notes, reading through them, basically everything has passed except my medical, after reading further I have been found inadmissible due to excessive demand on the health system (because of the biological meds).
At the time of my medical in March 2021 I was taking a medication called Simponi (biologic),for an inflammatory condition I was having, causing me pain in my hip joint, I declared this in the medications part of my medical papers I had to fill out at the clinic.
I stopped taking this medication in May, will not be going back on any biological medications in the future, as my specialist and myself believe there are other ways (physiotherapy, strengthening) to get around this issue, I have not had any pain since Feb and I haven’t noticed any pain in the joint since i stopped taking the biologic medication.
My Immigration lawyer thinks that if I can get a reference letter from my specialist telling Ircc that I havent been on this medication since May and things are looking fine, we would do this before the PFL is sent, this would be sufficient to overturn the excessive demand refusal, I know that simponi would cost around $18,000 just for the medication alone.
Can anyone give me advice on what route we should be going to rectify this, so stressful and upsetting??
