Medical in Bay Area, US

Anyone got the medicals done in Bay area, California, US earlier(for any Canadian visa)?
There is only one doctor listed on the Panel Physician webpage which is Dr. Timothy Fitzer. There are various negative reviews about that doctor here: www.yelp.com/biz/tim-fitzer-md-berkeley?sort_by=rating_asc , which include making mistake in immigration paperwork and trying to over-charge for unnecessary things (vaccinations).

Any suggestions for things to be aware of before going for the test? Can the test be covered by the health insurance?
