Hey, my wife went to get her medical exams, and we never got a "Copy 1 of Medical Report:Client Biodata and Summary (IMM1017)." We just got receipts from the three different doctors offices we were sent to.

Hi there, that is all you need now with the upfront medicals. Make a photocopy of the receipts for your file and send the original copy of receipt you received from the doctor with your application.

Why were you sent to 3 different doctors?

I think the OP probably meant the doctor, the blood lab place and x-ray place as sometimes the doctor sends you out to make the blood work and the x-ray outside. It was same for my husband, we got the receipt print out for e-medicals, and receipts from both the blood lab and x-ray lab.

Oh! Glad I asked because I thought everything was done at one doctor's office! Yikes! Thank you for your quick reply! :)

Some doctors are practicing in hospitals so they have labs onsite, but not everywhere. We went to a doctor who has a private practice, so he did a 5 min appointment with my husband, took a picture of my husband, asked my husband if he had any surgeries, asked if my husband wears glasses, had him read the alphabet and numbers on the wall, and that was it. haha He gave us 2 envelopes, 1 for private blood lab and 1 for private x-ray clinic and sent us on our way. We went there gave the proper envelope paid the fee and were done in under 15 min in both places.

so the process is, once results are ready for the blood work and x-ray the labs send it to the doctor who request it, and the doctor submits it to CIC so all you have from doctor is just the receipt page (our was 2 pages and in bottom said blood work and x-ray requested).

This form that doctor printed from his PC is what we sent with our application.

Now Ecas shows Medicals received.

Cool!! I was just concerned about the cost of the xrays and blood work. We budgeted for the doctor, and that was all, as we were under the impression all was done at the one place for the price stated.

What you were quoted $ was more likely the total. I think our tests in canadian dollar were 250, doctor took only 150, and we paid 50 each in each lab. So total 250.
