Medical Expiry VS. Medical Extension?

Hi Senior Members/Forum Mates,

I had my PPR last Jan 2, 2013 my ecas changed to In process Jan 9, til now I am waiting for DM, I know it's still more than a month, but my medical will expire March 6.

My question is, just in case CEM will "forget" to stamp my PP and my medical expires, does this mean that I have to undergo another med exam? How about the 15 months validity? (as the new rule).

Is it safe for me to assume that I can get the visa before my medical expires? I am asking because one of our batchmates got a call from the Embassy Jan 28 because her medical's expiring Feb 2 so she has to leave before Feb 2, another forum member had her medical expires today (Jan 31).. no call whatsoever from CEM.

I am just a bit confuse up to now of how CEM works/process our papers... I am asking because my husband is planning to go home mid Feb and we are hoping that when he leaves Manila, I'll be going with him already. So we cannot fully plan everything yet : ???

im also in a similar situation. my meds will expire march but i dont know the exact date (how can i find out?)
and i went "in process" on dec18 right after my interview. still waiting for DM i know its coming but febuary is coming and its my last month before meds expire..

hey..... m sailing in the same boat ..... can u plz elaborate my medical is going to expire on MAY 5, 2013.... still didn,t get any PPR request ..... Is my medical valid for 12 months only???? OR there is any rule of 15 months validity????

Wait until you hear from them. They can extend it and not tell you very easily. We didn't find out until we got COPR.

Hello sis, mine expires last jan. 31, 2013. My husband called our MP and asked about my expired medical and she said its not stated on the notes that they need me to redo the medical. I submitted the 2nd
addt'l docs that they requested last march 31 and they received it the following day and the MP called my husband saying that we will hear again from CEM about the result of our application on the 1st week of May. How many months are they giving as extension? Thanks
