Hi All,
I have got PR under PNP nomination last year 2019 but still, I haven't made first entry till now. My last date as per COPR is 7th Apr 2020 and medical expiry date is also same date. I'm planning to land on 2nd Apr 2020 and then on 3rd or 4th Apr 2020 i will apply for PR cards. I heard that the PR cards will take 60 days but by the time my medical expires.

Will, i need to redo medicals after landing in Canada ? . Will I have to face any issues?

Regards

1. IMHO you are cutting too close to "land"
2. You don't apply for the PR card, CBSA applies on your behalf when you "land"
3. No, you don't require a new medical.
4. Processing time for initial PR card is now 15 days.

Agree with PMM you are leaving it late to land given you have no contingency for the unexpected happening, travel issues or health or weather issues for example. As can see currently in the press with the China situation which nobody could maybe have predicted 6 months ago travel WW can be affected leading to delays and cancellations so having just a 5 day buffer seems a risk for a use it or lose it situation.

Decision and risk is yours to take so good luck hopefully in the end everything works for you.
