Is there a way to know if Trinidad got the medical results from the DMP correctly? My wife had her results on September 15th 2010.

The medical results will have been sent to the Regional Medical Centre that serves the Trinidad embassy - that will not necessarily be Ottawa. Ottawa RMC serves Canada and North America - there are other RMCs that serve the other embassies. The embassy will request the results when they are ready to review them and, at that time, they will usually indicate in the eCAS online status "Medicals Received". If you're worried that the results were not sent to the RMC, you can request confirmation by sending a fax to the applicable RMC with all the appropriate info included: name, birthdate, DMP and date of exam. They should be able to confirm receipt by return fax.

The time the results take to reach the Trinidad office and interpreted by the Visa Doctor is about 2 weeks. If all was good, the DMP would have sent it off via express post the following day or two after the medical was carried out. S/he would have given you the DHL tracking number which you can track online. It takes about 3-4 business days, sometimes a whole entire week for the results to reach the Trinidad office via courier. I would say allocate at least 2-3 weeks from the date the exam was carried out before the Trinidad office gets it.

I would also call my DMP and ask for the tracking number for the package just if I never got it. Keep in mind that the results are sent to Trinidad and not Ottawa since Trinidad is the next Regional Medical Centre that handles medical interpretation of results outside Canada for this region.

E-Cas hardly ever updates that they have received your results. Your best bet to feel safe that all is through and within standard processing is for you to confirm that DHL or other shipping courier's tracking number with the DMP and track the package to get an idea when it was delivered to the VO.

Good luck.

Thanks,

I think I will fax them. Do you guys know any of free sites which can let me fax to Trinidad and Tobago for free, because I went to the drugstore by my house and he charges me around $20...I think it's too much for 1 sheet of paper. I guess they can answer me by e-mail?

well said by "confusednscared" he is right as u are under family category ur medical test should take 4 months at maximum , i would suggest you to find the DHL tracking number , faxing a letter is also a good idea , but getting the DHL tracking is much better , i hav also sent my medical test nd its been like 2 weeks of it , i hav also decided to ask my DMP about the tracking number nd to track the test reports. these immigration stuffz are so confusing i pray all of us get through it.
