Hi,

My in-laws had applied for immigration at New Delhi office. They received their medical exam. forms and since they were visiting us here in Canada, we got their medical done over here. Now they have gone back to India. Recently, we received a letter from Health Management branch, Ottawa asking for additional information. We took the letter to DMP who said that certain tests need to be done. He advised us to send the letter back home and get the tests done over there from any DMP. Back home in India, the DMP said they can't do anything unless the letter is marked to them.

Anybody has any clue about this situation?

Thanks in advance.

Yes the DMP is correct. Now getting again a letter addressed to your Indian DMP would be time consuming job. My opinion is that, doing a new medical is easier. They can download the medical form and go to the DMP for a full medical.Mean while if you agree to this, then you should reply to the letter from Health management Branch. Ottawa that they are going for a re-medical in India because of the reason that the test request is not specifically address to the DMP. There could be different opinions too from others.

Hi Naresh,

My parents could be in a similar situation as this:my parents have applied for the Canadian PR from India, where they reside. they are currently visiting me in the US, and have received the medical exam request. is it ok to do the medical exam here in the US?

how did you deal with the situation? did do a new medical test in india again?
