Medical Examination required for Family Class sponsorship?

Hello,

I'm applying for the PR Sponsorship OUTSIDE of Canada. I will be in Canada on the 1 year VISA shortly. Is it necessary to get the Medical Exam while I'm in my home country? Will I be told to go back to get this exam done if required or would I be able to do this in Canada?

You can complete the medical wherever you want to - as long as you do it with a Designated Medical Professional identified by CIC.
