ME again!

My husband and I had a medical done in August 2015 for a PR application at that time. We unfortunately were refused. We are now trying again and have an ITA through CEC programme.

Knowing that we have to have a medical that has to be valid for at least 6 months, we need a new one. However, because we are using the same UCI, UMI, etc. for this application, we cannot get a new medical because it says that 'a medical has already been submitted' even though it won't be valid in just over 2 months.

Should we have a different UMI for this application and if so where do we find it?

Thanks!

Are you sure your current medical tests reports aren't valid to re-apply? you could use the old medical test receipt that you have from Aug 2015. No wonder e-medical registry under your UMI showing 'a medical has already been submitted' may be due to your application has been refused in the past(at completeness check or missing documentation) way before they could see your medical report. You can have a word with your panel physician considering any possible solution or you can raise a case specific query (CSE) with your UCI and get solution from IRRC/CIC.

All the best.

They are valid I guess, but on the CIC website they say you should have 6 months or more on the medical as it needs to be valid upon landing if your application is successful.

We were refused due to a discrepancy in NOC codes which I imagine would be before any documents had been through a completeness check or anything else.

We will talk to the panel physician and also send a CSE.

We fall into so many grey areas, the other big one being my husbands passport. It's due to expire in January, so we aren't sure if we need to renew that before we submit our documents or not!

Thanks for the reply :)

Yes exactly. After successfully passing your medical reports, they will be valid for 12 months and you should make sure to land within that 12 months.
Renew the passport before you proceed further to avoid delays in processing.
