I was just wondering if anybody knows what happens when they review your medical exam, because obviously it takes a while for them. Are they just evaluate the results from the doctor who did your exam or are they going to double check everything with your previous doctors from your home country? I mean there must be a reason why it takes a while till that step is passed during the overall review.

They can't check details with the doctors from previous countries as they do not hold this info and do not have your consent to gain this information hence the reason you need to get the exam from a government approved doctor.

I'm assuming you are currently living in Canada. I'm not sure of the procedure when applying from out with.

Yes, I am applying from Inland. Then I guess they just need some time to review everything they get from the certified doctor where I took the exam.

hi there!
i just wanna ask regarding my complicated situation. i have a tourist visa and i am here now in Canada for almost 5 mos now. my brother will sponsor me as a live in caregiver for his kids. i already have my LMIA and my brother processed and submitted my work permit just this month. but the problem is that im almost 5 mos pregnant now. will there be a problem for me or my brother(my employer) if we proceed to the processing of work permit knowing that im pregnant? what should i do if there will be a medical for me, will it affect my status or the processed working permit? Is there any instance that they will not require medical exam? Is the medical exam mandatory? is it better for me to go home so that there will be no problem for my status? how many months does a work permit usually processed? i need your advise please!
