That's the case under the old paper system. You would send your application then CIC would contact you and ask you to get a medical done.Ramii said:I got an ITA, but I have scheduled my medical exam yet, I thought it was required post submitting my application
That's because there hasn't been a draw since you accepted your nomination, hopefully you'll get an ITA in the coming draw.Aspirant_CAN said:I am Ontario nominated and stand at 1000+ score. Have Not yet received ITA though.
Got my medicals done today.
Any harm :O ?
Did the same thing. Hope there is no harm. The next draw should probably be in a few days, hopefullyAspirant_CAN said:I am Ontario nominated and stand at 1000+ score. Have Not yet received ITA though.

Thank you for the great answer. It definitely makes sense now.Dexmoody said:There is no harm, but you have to land in Canada before the medical expires. Medicals are valid for one year. Since processing time for eAPR can be 6 months or more, that only leaves 6 months to land (or less).
That's why most people do the medical just before submitting their application so they have the maximum time to land.
