Dears,

I need a quick help from you.

I've just received OINP Nomination and I hope that I will get ITA in the next draw. :)

However, I have a small issue with the upfront medical. I am applying from outside Canada, but my husband is currently in Ontario visiting friends. He left a week ago and has a return ticket in 2 months.

Can he do medical in Canada? Will it look too suspicious for CIC, as he is on a visitor visa?

Thanks for your help,
H.

I don't think it really matters as long as it is done by a panel physician anywhere in the world.
All the best,

Its advisable to get the medicals done once you get the ITA. You can get the medicals done from different physicians, provided they are on CIC panel.
Since your husband is away, do provide him the ITA document, which will be needed by clinic, as they scan the document, while getting the medicals. All the best.

CIC advises to do the medicals after ITA in most cases because there is no assurance that someone will get drawn as the CRS cutoff varies.

However, helena21 got a nomination and will most definitely get an ITA in the next draw. She and her husband can go right now and get an upfront medical before the ITA, no need for that ITA document. The nomination certificate can also work, but documents aren't really necessary.

Thanks guys for the inputs! I really appreciate it!

In my country the medicals can be scheduled fast. I'm actually afraid that it takes longer in Toronto to do them.

Do you think that I should add a LOE to explain why is my husband doing his medicals in Toronto and not at home? Just in case they get suspicious. He actually did just go to have some fun and ski.

Don't think it really matters, as I recall, it doesn't say on the eMedical form where the exam was held. But if the LoE will give you peace of mind, it won't hurt at all to mention. :)
