Recently, I went through medicals and with me my friend also went through medical exam(he was also offered by same employer) . My test went smooth. But when my friend was told to breath during X-ray exam, they could see only 7 ribs. Generally they should be able to see 9. They were doubtful about the test and repeated it again. Again they could see only 7. I am not sure whether this is a symptom of TB. If someone can answer whether this is a symptom of TB, I would like to hear.

My questions are
If they sense something wrong, how are they going to proceed on this? Will WP be rejected? or Do they recommended further tests ?

Should LMO process be redone by employer once he gets rid of the disease if employer is still interested in candidate ?

Hello. I think the medical institution would suggest further tests to verify and confirm what they have seen on the 2 xrays, and this may mean more and additional test.

If they found something: like a definite diagnosis (why they can only see 7 ribs), and if this due to an ailment that needs to be cured first, the medical institution will refer it to their hospital or clinic of choice for further assessment/treatment. After the treatment, they will most likely have the applicant undergo another medical test to confirm that the previous sign/symptom of their diagnosis has already been relieved/cured.

Otherwise, after additional test and they found nothing, I think they may conclude already that the findings is OK (if approved by the doctor to be most likely that the person can function normally and can do daily activities or is fit to work). Thereby saying that we ignore that 7 ribs as long as this person is healthy and can function normally. This I think is after additional tests have been done and they found nothing.

Hope this helps.
