Medical exam minimum age?

My husbands PR is taking longer than expected; we even had a baby while waiting! He's 6 months old now and I'm wondering whether he will need to get a medical exam done or not.. My husband had to retake his (it expired) and the staff told him that they don't do exams for children under 1 year. Is that just that hospital or is the exam not required for kids under 1 year?

I know I could ask Immigration, but that takes ages. Does anyone know the answer? Thanks!

Are you a Canadian citizen? If so, how did you get citizenship? Your baby may already be a Canadian citizen in which case you aren't going to add your baby to your husband's application. Instead, you need to obtain proof your baby is a Canadian citizen so that he/she may travel as one.

Yeah, this is what I thought. I'm a Canadian citizen by birth, and I knew that my baby would be Canadian also. But I had to inform the visa office of the birth and people here told me the baby would be added to my husbands application and that he would need a medical. Doesn't make sense to me but I haven't heard anything back from the visa office yet. I hope you are right!

Your baby cannot be added to your husband's application since the baby is already a Canadian citizen.
