Hi everyone!

My husband is Ecuadorian and is here in Canada on a study permit (but we have been married for 2 years and he has been to Canada multiple times previously). We have decided to apply outland because of the processing times and the ability to travel outside of Canada during the process. I was wondering if anyone was able to answer my question regarding his medical exam. For his study permit, he was obligated to undergo an medical exam in June of 2014. Obviously the spousal sponsorship requires a medical exam as well, but is it possible to submit the results of the medical exam he received for his study permit with the spousal sponsorship application, or is a new one required?

Thank you!

I believe that Immigration has a copy of his medical on file,
the only problem is that the validity is only one year,
It is more likely that he will need new exams...
Going to x rays is not very healthy and its not advisable
to do it too frequently ....
therefore, for health reasons I would advise to wait for immigration to ask
for the medical exams ... that will give more time between medical examination.

You can call CIC Call Centre at 1-888-242-2100
and ask for advise on this matter.
