Hi everybody!

I am wondering some specific about the medical exam for CEC applications.
I would start to saying, I just got my ITA after the express entry, I can apply under the Canadian Experience Class and I have 60 days to submit all the files... I will apply for me and my wife (I will be the principal applicant, she hold an open work permit and me a skilled work permit).
Now my question is, once we going to have the medical exams what is going to be the procedure? Will we be visited from a physician and have some lab tests as bloodworks and urine and a xray? Is that right?
My worry is if they ask you your alberta health care number and they look over into your profile, my wife has a few reports which I have to be worry about them. Do they do that? Or not? Let me know if one of you guys have done already (and recently) the medical files for permanent resident application and wheather they looked into your health coverage number or not.
Also I heard if your spouse or dependant children have medical condition not risky for Canada and canadians (like infectious disease) but it is anyway too expensive for the government they don't care about it, is that right? And also in this case is it valid only for a Canadian or permanent resident who is sponsoring his spouse or child? or even in an application where the principal applicant is in a good health condition but his spouse is not in it?

I really need a clue, hope you can help me.

Thanks in advance!

No - this isn't correct. This only applies for Family Class spousal sponsorships. Since you are immigrating through CEC, everyone (principal applicant and all dependents) must pass the medical. If anyone fails the medical, the entire application will be refused. And yes - a reason for refusal can be a non infectious disease that will cost more than $6,500 a year to treat and will therefore place a burden on the Canadian health care system.
