medical exam & DMPs - Vancouver

Hi

Anyone know the cost and a good DMP in Vancouver area. I am planning to be there in late march and I heard the exam is much cheaper in Canada than in the US. I was quoted $450 USD down here for mine and read here about exams costing about half that in Canada.

Just wondering if you ended up doing your medical in Vancouver and if so who you went with and what the cost was? I'm hoping to get my MR soonish and Vancouver will be our choice too

I took the medical exam at Vancouver on March, 2011 with total cost CAD173.89 (Including the X-ray and blood test)
They also will fedex the report directly to Ottawa. Since it was a year ago, it would be great if you could call them and check whether they have raised the fee or not.

Thanks for your reply chu2010. I rang their office and the lady was very helpful and informative. Price is now $190 all inclusive so not too much of an increase since you did yours I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

In case anyone is curious, I contacted following two medical examiners or the PR immigration physical exam here in Vancouver today and was quoted the following by each:

Desmond P. Dwyer, 750 W. Broadway: $240, includes exam, lab and x-ray
Stephen Reznek, 4980 Kingsway, Burnaby: $190 exam & lab plus add'l $50-100 for x-ray, depending on where you elect to go for x-ray. It would be $50 if you elected to go to CMO in Surrey on Scott Rd. maybe others, too.

Hope this update helps. Both are online with eMedical so I would think their processing time after the exam are optimal.

Hi,

i have to get a medical exam to apply my student permit, i'm trying to find out the cheap one and good rating from all review on internet. for me , probably these two Dr. can be better than other else. Just wanna confirm for someone who try to find a good Dr. and service. Because i don't want to be disappointed from rude Dr. whose i pay him for service me.

tomorrow i'll call both of them to check the price again if something change. i'll be back to tell you on this board.
