Medical Exam after ITA

Last week I received an ITA under EE - FSW. I filled in the remaining forms and I'm in the process of uploading the documents. I tried booking an upfront medical exam for my wife and I in Bali since we're here on holiday. I only have my EE profile number and the UCI number assigned to my EE profile. The PP said they were unable to give me the upfront medical for PR because I "do not have an IME and the system requires one since it changed in March 2017"

This is all what I found on the CIC website on what I need to bring with me:
  • Proper identification (you will need at least one document with your photograph and signature, such as a passport, driver’s licence or national identity card),
  • eye glasses or contact lenses, if you wear them,
  • any medical reports or test results that you have regarding previous or existing medical conditions, and
  • the Medical Report form (IMM 1017E), if you do not get an upfront medical exam. We will send you this form.
According to my understanding, all I need for an upfront Medical is my passport, then the PP will provide me with proof of examination for me to upload. The receptionist at the hospital offered to email the contact at Canadian Immigration, but also suggested I email them as well. Does anyone know what needs to be done from here, or if there's a CIC email address I can write to?

Appreciate any help clarifying this issue

Unfortunately this is the only PP in Bali, but I emailed different physicians in some other countries we will be visiting soon. Awaiting their replies.

hi ... Even i had the same doubt ... But the panel physician i contacted told me that with passport and the invitation letter sent by CIC staing the profile number would be sufficient to carry out an upfront medical exam ... Even i will be doing an upfront medical as i already received ITA .

They definitely aren't following the correct procedure. I suggest you inform CIC of this issue. The panel physician could use the UCI to conduct the exam and submit the information in relation to your express entry application. Did you check if you have a document from CIC with an IME in the instructions to take the medical exam ?
