Please let's connect and share timeline if your file has been transferred to the Seattle visa office in August 2011.
I completed my medical examination on March 25, 2011. It was received by the visa office on April 06, 2011. On August 10, I received an email from he Buffalo VO stating that my file was transferred to Seattle VO in order to expedise processing. I am now waiting for the PR email, hopefully sometime very soon. Good luck to all of us waiing patiently.

you can submit the passport in person . Same day stamping is not available. You need to submit on a Thursday and pick it up on next Thursday. Also note that you need submit your passports with in 30 days of the PPR request failing which could result in significant processing delays or the closure of your file.

Hope your PPR arrives much ahead of Back to School season. Here is an excerpt from the PPR email from SEA.Hope this helps.

The processing of your application is complete. We require valid passports for you and any accompanying family members before we can issue your permanent resident visa(s). You must provide your passports to our office within 30 days of the date of this message. Failure to do so could result in significant processing delays or the closure of your file.

PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS:
We require an original VALID passport for yourself and every accompanying family member. Passports for all family members must be submitted together. There must be at least one blank page in each passport. If there are children included in your passport, there must be blank pages for their visas as well. The immigrant visa placed in your passport has an expiry date. You may enter Canada any time before the expiry date. The expiry date cannot be extended. If you fail to enter Canada before this date and still wish to immigrate to Canada, you must reapply by submitting a new application and paying a new processing fee. There is no guarantee a future application would be successful.
Please note: Immigrant visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military passports.

YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS FOR THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR PASSPORTS:

OPTION A: Bring your passports in person
Passports can be brought to our office: 1501 4th Avenue, Suite 600, Seattle, WA 98101 Passports may be brought in on Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 am and 11:00 am. Bring this message when you come in and take a number for General Enquiries. You will be called to a window to submit your passports. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT SAME DAY SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE. Your passports and visas will be ready to be picked up between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm the FOLLOWING Thursday. If you do not come to the Consulate to pick up your passports, they will be returned to you by regular mail unless you arrange to have them returned to you using one of the premium services described below. You must bring your passports in person. A representative may not submit passports on your behalf. For security reasons, the Canadian Consulate General does not allow the entry of recording or transmitting devices into the immigration waiting room or interview areas. This includes all types of cameras, recorders, and cellular telephones.
OPTION B: Submit your passports by mail or courier
The security of your passports is important to us. We strongly encourage you to use United States Postal Service Express or Priority Mail (if in the USA) or Federal Express Courier Service (if in Canada). This allows you to track the delivery and return of your documents. Our office is not liable for passports that are lost or stolen in the mail. Send your original passports with a printout of this message.

RETURN OF YOUR PASSPORTS
We will return passports to addresses in the USA or Canada only. If your current mailing address is not in the USA or Canada, you must bring your passports to our office in person. Once you have mailed your passports to us, they will be returned to you within 15 business days from the date we receive them. Passports sent to us by mail will be returned to you by United States Postal Service regular mail unless you use one of the premium services described below. Passports sent to us by mail cannot be picked up in person.
ADDRESSES IN THE USA
If your address is in the USA, the Consulate will return your passports by U.S. Postal Service First Class Mail. Please provide a pre-paid, self-addressed return envelope with the correct postage affixed. We will not use registered mail, certified mail or return postage coupons. If First Class Mail is not acceptable, please provide a pre-paid, self-addressed United States Postal Service Express or Priority Mail envelope with the correct postage affixed. Enter a daytime telephone number on the mailing label above the recipient address. Make a note of the tracking number.
Please note: We will not return passports to US addresses using ANY commercial courier service.

ADDRESSES IN CANADA
If your address is in Canada, the Consulate will return your passports via United States Postal Service First Class Mail. Please enclose a self-addressed return envelope. If First Class Mail is not acceptable, please provide a completed Federal Express air waybill and a return Federal Express courier envelope. You must fill in your name and address as both the sender and the recipient on the waybill. The Consulates address must not appear on the waybill. You must enter your valid Federal Express account number in the appropriate billing information box. Charges must be billed to recipient, not to sender. Payments by cheque or credit card are not accepted. Make a note of the tracking number. The Consulate will not be responsible for filling out courier labels or verifying shipping charges; these are the sole responsibility of the applicant.
Please note: We will not return passports to Canadian addresses using any commercial courier service other than Federal Express.
