Medical delay

Hello,

I have been asked about 4.5 months ago by Canadian Embassy in Damascus/Syria to send them new police certificate, but since that time

I haven't heard any response from them. I am so upset cause it normally takes 3 months to call for Medical exams.

Is anyone had the same situation or can help me about this?

I just received email from Canadian Embassy in Damascus saying that they are doing background check on my application.

What is the background check?

Backround check is a normal and very important process for any Federal application, in some time backround check may take more time so don't worry this is happening in a lot of cases.
and the meaning of that is to check your security backround to be sure you don't have any criminal record.

How many police certificates did you submit and when you submited your application to damscuss office

Does any one know when Embassy asks for second police cert, how long it takes to background check gets completed?

And then embassy sends medical documents? mine is starting its 6 th months after sending second police cert.

I really appreciate if someone can give me some information about this

I have been waiting for 6 month since embassy asked me for police certificate update and send the final documentation.

This police certificate was the second one , I was supposed to have my medical, but haven't heard anything from embassy in this 6 month.

I am really upset about this.

Ohhh my God, this is upset for me too, because the Canadian Embassy in Damascus also asked me for a new police certificate from two countries and other documents and I sent the all in 24 of may, 2010 and waiting to call me for interview or medical exams.

Thats mean I must wait for many months like you :-[ ???
but I knew that in it's time God will hasten it.
I knew that The Canadian Embassy in Damascus is sooooooooooo slow in everything.

Try to send a query via e-mail to Canadian Emabssy asking for your case.

Thank you so much for update.

Well, I sent documents they asked for alond with police certificate on Dec the second 2009.

I also sent email to embassy and asked for my application situation , they answered "background checks are in process" and they said I need to be patient.

I am upset and hope to get answer for medical exams soon
