I have a slight curve on my spine ( mild scoliosis), which according to specialist doctor harmless and ignorable. There is no need for any medication, surgery or any other medical treatments necessary for that. Can it be called a "serious physical disorder" as per schedule i background declaration. Because i answered " no" to that question, when i filed my full application to CHC.

When my chest x ray is taken, I am worried they may find my scoliosis. If they find it, can it be a cause of "misrepresentation" and refusal because I did not disclose that fact. Since it harmless and no need of any treatment, can it be called a medical condition. Please note that i can do all physical and sports activities like a normal person and there is no slightest pain involved.

Should is disclose that fact to DMP, when i do medicals? Thanks

ABSOLUTELY!!

You must be completely transparent in all your dealings with CIC. If your medical condition is mild as you say .... just get your doctor or a specialist to confirm that in a letter which you will take with you when you do your medicals. If you try to hide the fact, they will think that there is probably a lot more that you are not being truthful about, and you really dont want to be in a position where everything you say is put under extra scrutiny because you have not been truthful

Hi,

"Scoliosis" ( spine curvature) will not be a problem for your medical. X-Ray will of course show the curve of spine.
You can go for medical without any tension and I hope you will not be rejected for this problem.

Thank you very much, job seeker, wilson and JC.

One more question, If i disclose it to DMP, can it be a problem because i did not disclose it in background declaration form? background declaration form asks about serious physical disorders? So i think i can justify myself because it is not very serious and i do not suffer any kind of disability from it.Thats why i did not disclose it. And i disclosed it at medical examination, at DMP stage. So i hope there will not be any misrepresenation issue, in that case.

What is your valuable opinion, guys... Thnaks for the previous replies.

Hi,
Take it easy. Don't think much about it.
You said already that there is no problem for your routine and normal life. Your doctor also said it is not necessary for a treatment. In such case, it is not a disorder to specify any where. But you should tell the DMP about it and the opinion of the doctor with whom you consulted aty the time of medical.
