My Borther-in-law and his wife filed Canadian Immg under Skilled Worker Class in 2006 from India. After that they moved to Austalia on student visa and are still in Australia on student visa. Now, they have just received letter to submit their medical for Canada in India. (they never updated their file after moving to Austalia so they still have Indian address in file)

Q1) For their Medical, do they need to go back to India to get their Medical done? Or they can get this done from australia mentioning their new address and current country of residence?

Q2) They had one child born in Australia who holds Indian passport. They moved their child back to his Grand Parents in India and is living in India from last one year, but recently the Lucky child got USA TOURIST VISA and is currently in UNITED STATES ( visiting me, his uncle) for 6 months visa. Now, as the child have just arrived here with his Grandparents, I dont want to spoil their Trip to go back to India to get his Medical done. Is it possible to get child's medical done from UNITED STATES?

Please help !

Why doesn't he just update his address? It may take some time but going back to Indian takes time and costs money too, and he needs to update his address anyway to receive future mails from CIC.
About where to take medical exam, I think you need to have CIC refer to the doctor, so I don't think you can take in the US unless CIC refers you there.

I agree with Rupeshari, you can do your medical anywhere as long as you have the correct medical forms with pictures and with approved DMP.

The problem is, they need to notify CIC for the kid and add him, he needs the medical too, now it will only delay the process.

Good Luck!

Medical can be done anywhere in world who is CIC approved, it need not be from place you applied (india), always keep updating ur visa officer abt changes in your life & family periodically so you dont face last minute queries...

By saying that Medical can be done from anywhere around the World...Do you guys mean that they need to update their new location with CIC and then can have their medical from their new residence country....Or they even dont need to update their location...and can just go to any approved doctor irrespect of the country of application or country of residence...

In brief..i mean, can I get the MEDICAL for the CHILD done from USA....where he is on TOURIST visa??

If the child was included in the application after his birth and CIC have sent the medical for the parents and child, then yes you can, just get the Medical Form for the child with his picture on it, go to any CIC approved DMP in the US and have medical completed, after the completion of the medical DMP will send the report to Ottawa and from that onward their file will be updated.

When the parents complete their medical in Australia, it will also go to one centralized place. CIC will then know the medicals are completed, however they usually have another requirement with the medical to send the RPRF fee and PCC's, since they are now living in Australia, they will need a PCC from there as well as any other country they have lived for more than 6 months - you don't have to forget about that, otherwise their PR may be rejected in the end.

If so, why did I hear that a CIC approved DMP will not do the medical exam unless CIC refers you there? Or is that information not correct?

CIC won't refer you to a specific DMP, you pick any authorized DMP from the list in your area, you need to take the forms they sent you for the medical with the applicant/dependent picture affixed on it.

An yes, the information you have is incorrect.

Hi
If their kid is younger than 5 yrs of age he doesn't have to go for medical and medical can be done from anywhere but by only certified doctors

Wrong, everyone goes to a DMP for the medical, no exceptions even babies.
