Medical and interview questions?

Hello Immigration Gurus,

I got my AOR (reference number) from Sydney and now I am preparing for my complete application. I have some questions about my situation.

Right now I am at USA (working on H1b Status) but while I was filling, lots of people on this forum advice me to fill thro' New Delhi visa office as Buffalo is very slow and dead office in terms of processing our file. So once I send my complete application to New Delhi, I might received medical request from them. But will New Delhi office assign doctors from USA or I got to do the medical checkup from India. I am really confuse about this, I think it's very stupid question but if someone will clear my doubt then it will be helpful...!!

One more think, I have filled for me as well as for my wife as spouse. Now if New Delhi Office calls us for an interview, then both of us has to go there or anyone can go for an interview.

As far as medicals are concerned, CIC has a litst of authorized medical Practitioners and you may visit the one closest to you. You are allowed to visit any doctor from the list in USA or India...whatever you prefer.

I can see in your signature that you got an interview waiver so is there any process to do that or it's depends upon your visa office?

Generally interview calls are required when CIC is not satsified with the documentation, as far as interview waiver is concerned, make sure that you send enough supporting docs that your chances of getting a waiver are high.. sorry it doesn't answer your question straight about travelling...

My application is processed under the quebec skilled worker program....the requirements are slightly different...I am an aerospace engineer with degree and work exp from the US and Montreal being an aerospace hub has a big shortage of aerospace engineers. Aerospace is also under the profession in demand list and i was already working in montreal when i filed my application.

Hence the interview waiver i guess....a lot depends on luck as well. 8)
