Hi,
Can someone advise on this?
I am working as temporary worker from an year in Canada. My one kidney was removed in childhood(it was not functional from birth, called something like hydronephrosis), other one is healthy.

Now can I apply for PR, does it qualify?

I did passed the Work permit medical tests last year.

Any guidance would be highly appreciated

Thanks a lot,
Madhav

The medicals of workpermit and PR are having same standard. You will be not having any problem. In fact one kidney is sufficient for entire life

as far as ur kidney function test is within normal:

creatinin < 1.2

urea < 45

& there is no problem with ur healthy kidney ,

there is nothing to worry

Hi All,

My hubby met with an accident some 5 years back ... he had his spleen removed and also had metal rod installed in his arm.

Now, afetr 5 year when we went for his general check-up doctors found out that one of his kidneys has shrunk ... and we dont know if it was since birth or was aside effect of the surgeries or accident he went through ...

As, if now he is fit like a horse and does not take any medication....

We r little worried about his medical history and if its going to make any effect

plz suggest
