Hi all,

Canada doesn't easily recognize degrees from other countries was always in my mind.

I graduated in Mech. Engineering from India and then took pains of doing MBA from UK (My School is ranked among world's top 30).

Any inputs on if Canada job market would recognize it as it does MBA from USA?

regards

Yes - your UK MBA will be recognized in Canada.

Yes your MBA will be recognised but there is no gurantee you'll get a job with your MBA

Thanks to all experts!

regards

Try this folder for international students...http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/international-students-b2.0/

No not at all

You will end up working with super stire or walmart pulling trollies.......

I know u wont take this .............
try to find new Immigrant in canada who has similar qualification and what are they doing ...........
I know you wont take this unless u come here and do what i said ...............
good lick

M.Eng from India

MBA from U.K

Your MBA qualification may be recognized (I doubt the Indian will be recognized) but getting a job will be a challenge. you will either be asked for Canadian work experience or they'll tell you are over qualified for the job. So the chances are you'll have to settle for a survival job or a job thats pays lower than what you originally made and actually went to University for. Let us know if you have made any progress and please share your story so that we can learn if you've done somehting different.

Hey, I was just wondering that if a person have a Canadian qualification but no Canadian work experience, Can this be problematic in finding a job in Canada..I have completed my first year of diploma here. :)

It can be problematic if you are comparing yourself to someone who has Canadian work experience. Which is why its important to do some sort of internship/ work study program while studying so that you have something to show after your graduate. Otherwise there are a lot of A and A+ students with no work experience and with the current economic situation companies are willing to hire people on whom they will spend the least amount of money for training.

What you think about volunteer work experience?

Voluenteer is no problem, but I have yet to see companies that adopt this policy

No, I mean that If I have volunteer work experience in Canada, will the company be ok with it?

Depends on the company but I personally think it should be counted, volunteer work is basically work without pay
