wow you're processing time is soo fast... It took us 3 months just for sponsor approval.. waiting for your visa wouldn't be that bad...

Hi po!
Share ko lang...un po kasing kakilala ko, nirequire ulit sa kanya ang NBI certificate.
Pero hindi naman dahil sa expired kundi dahil napaaga kasi siya ng pagkuha ng NBI certificate niya na pinasa, initially.

Sis, refer ka sa Guide to Immigrating (IMM 3999), under Police Certificates...sabi dun...
"The certificate must have been issued no more than three months prior to submitting your application."

So, although 1 year ang expiry ng NBI certificate...nirerequire tayo ng embassy to pass the certificate within 3 months from the issuance date...
Kaya ang pinaka maganda, ung NBI certificate ang pinaka huli na kuhanin before magsubmitt ng application, kasi 3 months lang ang allowance niya prior to submission sa embassy...

Siguro iniiwasan ng embassy na matagal na ung NBI certificate kasi baka nagkaroon ng criminal record ang applicant, recently. Pwede din may ibang dahilan po.

Hi everyone! Akee introduced this forum to me. Hope I find refuge here

I sent my passport last Sept 29 and it was received Oct 3, 2012. I'm getting a bit worried as tomorrow Will be 2 months already since I gave my passport. I'm not sure if it's because of the holiday season or if for anything really that's taking it so long for me to receive my approval of visa and passport back. Should I get worried? in my e-cas, it says this:

We received your application for permanent residence on May 30, 2012.

We started processing your application on October 3, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

Help anyone?

Welcome to May 2012 forum!

Just monitor your eCAS from time to time sis.
Based from the posts of previous batches, their eCAS go through the following steps after sending their passport to CEM:
In-process...then a Canada address will appear...lastly, that a Decision has been made on your application.

Others go through those process while others does not.
Just wait and pray until your eCAS change to DM.

Hi! Yeah, my husband and I were so surprised at how fast his was approved. I'm just taking it a day at a time for now. I just wish I was working so I have something to keep my kind off it. Haha.

I read somewhere that after they submitted their passport, it took them 82-90 days to receive it. I just wish I can spend Christmas with my husband.

Hi! Thanks again for introducing this to me! It feels better now that people can relate to me. Haha. No matter how much I explain the process to my family and friends, they can't, don't, nor won't really understand how it feels to be in these set of shoes.

I was actually in Toronto with my husband when we submitted the application. We were surprised it only took a month for his approval. I just came back home when my PPR arrived at my Manila address.

If I may ask, has it ever happened that someone received their passports with visa before seeing any change in their eCas? Like DHL appeared first at their doorstep before any change online.

Have a great day ahead as well!

There is, sis...so, don't rely too much on eCAS.
You may always log-in here to receive updates from our fellow applicants.
You may also post changes in your timeline or post some of your concerns...I am sure a lot here would be more than willing to help.
Actually your timeline is ahead from most of us, so don't worry to much.

elo walang naka indicate sa PPR kng ilan basta nag send ako ng 10 pcs mabuti ng sobra kesa kulang ibabalik nmn din yta kng di nila need mahalaga nag comply ka sa gus2 ng CEM

Kasi I read your initial post dated September 08, 2012 and you said there na pinasa niyo na po ung passport niyo. Wala po ba kasama un na Appendix A?

May 15 nagpasa kami po and sa aug. 25 po nagmail sila sa aswa ko at humihingi sila ng mga documents, pictures po sa appendix B and yung passport ko po.kaya pindala ko po sa aswa ko po and yung aswa ko po pindala sa kanila po and sa september 8 na approved po yung asawa ko as sponsor at sabi daw nasa pilipinas na po daw. pero ecas ko po medical result receive pa lang po.

So, that means tapos na po kayo ng Sponsorship Approval at Passport Request (PPR) stage kasi hiningi na po pala nila Passport niyo.
Wait na lang po kayo for DM or Visa.
